Hey everyone, By now many of us are regretting about giving up on our new year resolutions but no worries, it’s all about small bites and never giving up. It seems like most of us are doing our best to stay healthy (exercise, diet, mentally, spiritually) but very often life gets in the way. Here are a few basic tips that will help you get back on track. Remember, health and wellbeing is made up of lots of different pieces but we will get to that later. Start with this (article) guideline from Harvard.
Try to avoid or limit these foods as much as possible:
refined carbohydrates, such as white bread and pastries
French fries and other fried foods
soda and other sugar-sweetened beverages
red meat (burgers, steaks) and processed meat (hot dogs, sausage)
margarine, shortening, and lard
Include plenty of these anti-inflammatory foods in your diet:
green leafy vegetables, such as spinach, kale, and collards
nuts like almonds and walnuts
fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, tuna, and sardines
fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, cherries, and oranges
